-
5 Days
Description
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents.
Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East: (320km-Appr 5 Hours’):
06:00 hrs. Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport, or Nairobi area residence and head out in our 4 x 4 Jeep for Tsavo East. We’ll take the Nairobi/Mombasa highway, stopping to stretch and get refreshments along the way. Entering Tsavo East, you’ll appreciate the vast stretches of land and sky before you. It’s time to set out on our first game drive.
This is a rugged park with rusty-colored soil the big elephants like to roll in. They may even entertain you by marching with their proud, red-dusted coats. We’ll head to our accommodation for lunch and perhaps some relaxing time. Then, it’s back into the 4 x 4 and more tracking of giraffes, impalas, and of course, lions. As a final flourish to our first safari day, we’ll be treated to the first of several blazing African sunsets.

Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West:
Welcome to safari life where we rise before the sun to watch the park come alive and head out on our first game drive. The park is peaceful at this time of day and we’ll be listening and looking for the first signs of emerging wildlife. We’ll enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and take one more game drive as we depart for Tsavo West. This next park is pleasing to the eye with its scenic hills and valleys, oases, and surprises like ancient baobab trees. There’s plenty of the big game here like lions and rhinos. We’ll proceed to the Nguila Rhino Sanctuary which harbors over 80 of these fascinating creatures.
Accommodation: We’ll spend our second safari night at Tsavo West at your choice of lodge or tented camp.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli (100kms Appr 2 Hours’):
We’ll be up with the birdsong and ready for the sights the natural world will bring us on this new dawning day. An early game drive brings us into the first rays of sunlight as it lights up the savannah and the park’s awakening inhabitants. We will head over to one of Tsavo West’s treasures, Mzima Springs, a rich, green oasis. In this lush setting, we’ll find hippos,
crocodiles, exotic fish, and birds. We can walk here, under the palm-fringed shores, and take in the park’s other wildlife, attracted to these life-giving waters.
Now it’s time to take the short trip to Amboseli Park. Just look for the sky-scraping peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro as our beacon to the park. We’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch and perhaps some free time at our accommodation before heading out to discover the wilds of Amboseli. There is a rich assortment of game to discover on these plains and we’ll be looking for
all of Africa’s Big Five. With Kilimanjaro posing in the background, you’ll be tempted to take lots of photos, and why not? This is what it’s all about. Toward evening you may even get better views of the great mountain’s snow-encrusted peak as the cloud covering often burns away, revealing one of the world’s most enchanting sights.
Accommodation: We’ll spend two nights at Amboseli, at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park:

The park is famous for being the best spot in Africa to spot the great herds as they march family-style to their favorite watering holes. See how many you can count. Observation Hill is a wonderful vantage point to observe the wildlife in the marshes below, like buffalo, hippo, pelican, and other waterfowl. Along with your many game drives, you can take advantage of an optional visit we offer to a nearby Masai Village. Meet the tribespeople and learn about their lifestyle up close. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements.
