Pre-breakfast game drive, after breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
Overview
Take a luxury safari to Samburu Game Reserve, one of Kenya’s hidden gems. This unique reserve is home to the famous “Samburu Special Five”: beisa oryx, long-necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the blue-legged Somali ostrich—wildlife you won’t see in most other parks.
The landscape is rugged and beautiful, with rocky hills, open plains, and the Ewaso Nyiro River running along the southern edge. Crocodiles and hippos live in the river, and many animals come here to drink during the heat of the day. You might also spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, and other plains game on your game drives.
Samburu is also home to the Samburu people, cousins of the Maasai, known for their rich culture and traditions.
Your safari begins in Nairobi and includes stays at luxury tented camps and lodges. It’s the perfect blend of adventure, wildlife, and comfort in a less-traveled part of Kenya.
