Kampala to Fort Portal (300–330 km | Approx. 5–6 hours)

After breakfast, leave Kampala behind as the journey unfolds through rolling hills, fertile farmland, tea plantations and charming rural villages. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community conservation project renowned for its exceptional birdlife and numerous primate species. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your guided gorilla trek through the ancient rainforest. Once found, you'll spend a precious hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, play and interact within their natural habitat—an experience few wildlife encounters can rival.
