10-Day Kenya Safari: A Journey Through the Heart of Kenya's Wildlife and Culture

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, guests will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Norine Forbes Safaris. After a smooth airport transfer, guests will head to their accommodation for check-in and a chance to relax after their flight. If time permits, guests may choose to explore Nairobi at their own pace or enjoy the comfort of their hotel.

After breakfast, guests will be transferred to Samburu National Reserve. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours through scenic landscapes and the rugged terrain of the northern region. Upon arrival, guests will check in and have time to unwind. Later, an afternoon game drive will begin to explore the unique wildlife of Samburu.

Following breakfast, guests will embark on a full day of game viewing in Samburu National Reserve. With a picnic lunch provided, the day will be spent exploring different sections of the park to see the diverse wildlife, including big cats, elephants, and unique bird species. The reserve is known for its serene atmosphere and rugged beauty.

After breakfast, guests will drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for its rhinos and flamingos. The scenic drive takes about 4-5 hours. On arrival, guests will have an afternoon game drive, where they will see rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, and many bird species, including flamingos around the lake.

After an early breakfast, guests will journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve—one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, and guests will enjoy a late afternoon game drive to begin their safari in the Mara.

This full day will be dedicated to game drives in Maasai Mara, one of the richest ecosystems in the world. After breakfast, guests will enjoy a full day of exploring the reserve, with a break for lunch. The Mara offers spectacular wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and leopards.

This morning, after breakfast, guests will visit a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai people's traditional lifestyle, customs, and crafts. This cultural experience provides insight into the rich heritage of Kenya's indigenous communities. Afterward, guests will transfer to Lake Naivasha (approximately 3-4 hours). Upon arrival, guests will check in and head out for a relaxing boat ride on the lake. The boat ride offers the chance to see hippos and various bird species, including the iconic African fish eagle. Crescent Island Walk: After the boat ride, guests will head to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk. This private island, located on Lake Naivasha, is home to a variety of animals, including giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The walk offers a unique opportunity to get up close to wildlife in a safe, tranquil environment.

Today, guests will depart for Amboseli National Park, a 4-5 hour drive from Lake Naivasha. Famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park offers some of the most iconic safari experiences in Kenya. Upon arrival, guests will embark on an afternoon game drive.

The day is dedicated to game drives in Amboseli National Park. Known for its incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers a wealth of wildlife, especially elephants, and a variety of other species such as buffaloes, lions, and cheetahs. This full-day safari will give guests the opportunity to explore the park's different habitats.

After breakfast, guests will drive back to Nairobi (approximately 4 hours), where they will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for their outbound flight.
